Welcome to E. H. Butler Library!

Performing scholarly research can seem like an overwhelming task. As a college student, the level of work that is expected from you requires that you learn how to locate, critically evaluate, and use information skillfully. As an international student it can be especially difficult to navigate academic life in America.

Libraries in the United States may work differently from libraries in your home country. The library's primary role is to provide free access to resources, including books, articles, and technology. E. H. Butler Library at Buffalo State owns and subscribes to more than one million research materials. These materials are very different from information you might find for free on the Internet. Using library resources will help ensure that you are using reliable information, saving you time and improving your grades.

Do you have questions about the library? Confused about your research assignment? The librarians and staff at E. H. Butler Library are here to help!
