History of the City of Buffalo and Erie County
This 1,500 page book covers the history of Buffalo and Erie County from 1620 to 1884, when it was published. It is a treasure trove of detailed, factual information, including names, dates, people, and places. It was digitized by the Niagara University Library, with the support of a grant from the Western New York Library Resources Council.

Buffalo State College - Archives and Special Collections
The archives of Buffalo State houses the official and historical documents of the college, dating from the 1860's to the present. The Special Collections of the Library are many and varied in scope and include the Butler Family Papers, Courier Express Library, Tom Fontana Collection, and the Paul G. Reilly Indian Collection.

Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society Resource contains images
One of the country's oldest regional historical institutions, the Society is the primary collector and preserver of the artifacts and records of Western New York history. Includes a research library.
