Biographical Note:

The SUNY Buffalo State Oral History Project was extensively conducted from 1975 to 1985 and was primarily directed by Sister Martin Joseph Jones, the first archivist. The full selection of recordings span 1975-1995. Interviews and materials are currently being digitized from audio cassette to digital media that will be made available through the Buffalo State Digital Commons.

Scope and Contents:

The interviews are primarily concerned with personal reflections over the course of the interviewee’s career. They delve into personal biographical details as well. Transcripts of some of the interviews are available; please contact the archivist for more information.

Arrangement:

The cassette tapes are arranged by series. Series I is organized alphabetically by the interviewee; series II is organized by topic and broken down into: convocations and commencements; receptions and dedications; and miscellaneous; series three is listed alphabetically by last name of interviewee.
