Electronic & Information Technology Accessibility Compliance
As per the Buffalo State College Electronic & Information Technology Accessibility Compliance Plan, E. H. Butler Library is committed to providing accessible and equitable access to the digital resources. E.H. Butler Library is currently creating an accessible environment for all patrons. E. H. Butler Library is committed to withholding the standards and practices of the Buffalo State College Electronic & Information Technology Accessibility Plan. Specifically, E. H. Butler is committed to:
- Maintaining a repository for accessibility statements and Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) for all vendors & products acquired and housed by the Library
- Routinely & assiduously review accessibility initiatives and compliance.
- Maintain internal library accessibility roles and responsibilities matrix to identify personnel responsible for different focal areas of compliance
- Liaise with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) to maintain consistency in EIT, ADA, and accessibility standards.
- Uphold and review EIT exemption policy for products that are not in accessible formats.
- Respond to remediation requests promptly and discreetly.
- Create purchase procedures for acquisition of electronic & digital resources that follow ADA and accessibility requirements.
