  • Accounts expire annually; ID verification required to renew accounts.
  • Up to 10 items may be checked out at a time as long as your account is in good standing with no fines or overdue materials.

Visit the Friends of the Library page for more information on borrowing policies.

Alumni may request a guest computer pass at the Information Commons, by presenting their Buffalo State alumni card and a photo ID, for in-library use of computers and access to software, research databases, Internet searching, and other web resources. A new guest computer pass is issued each visit.

Alumni can also access Alumni Editions for two of our most popular databases - Academic Search Complete and Business Source Complete. Find instructions for access on the Alumni Association webpage (scroll down to Online Library Databases).

Visiting Students and Faculty

If your institution participates in the Open Access Project, Academic Library InfoPass Project, or the InfoPass Project, you may be eligible to borrow materials and receive a guest computer pass. Check with your college or university library for more information.
