PLEASE TAKE THE FACULTY TEXTBOOK & OER USAGE SURVEY: This six-to-eight-minute survey is designed to collect information on faculty trends using textbooks and open educational resources (OER). The results collected will provide quantitative data to analyze future textbook affordability initiatives. It will also assist Butler Library with OER programming that supports open pedagogy. All responses are anonymous. Click Here!
November is Native American Heritage Month! This month is devoted to recognizing the achievements and contributions of Native American people. At Butler Library, we have created a Native American Heritage Month LibGuide that highlights databases, journals, and books in our collection that focus on this community. This collection is also browsable.
The Alternative Learning Materials Initiative (ALMI) is running the survey again to count the number of courses that have no additional cost for textbooks. Additionally, we will designate all courses that have Zero Textbook Cost in Banner. The SPRING 2024 Survey is Active! Be sure to take the survey to get the ZTC attribute applied to your course! If you have any questions, please contact Chris Hulsman, Electronic & Educational Resources Librarian.
At Butler Library, we firmly believe in the rights of our users to read the books they want to read. To commemorate Banned Books Week, we have created a LibGuide focused on the topic. We also have a display posted on the first floor, near the Circulation and Ask Us desks. We read banned books! To take action on this issue, visit the Banned Books Week website.
We streamlined the AllSearch search box so you can jump straight into the search. The new drop-down next to the search box gives you more options to start your search. Learn More...
