ENG303 - Literature in Film

A vital step in exploring literature-based films is to understand that a film based on a literary work carries its own distinctive ideas about the book, and that filmmakers, creating such a movie, take on the responsibility of attempting to capture and translate those essential qualities which they perceive to be present in the literature, a medium with a separate and independent life.
