Collaborations: A Journal of Community-based Research and Practice is a peer-reviewed, open access journal, sponsored by the University of Miami and Rutgers University. It is a site for sharing research and practice emanating from university-community collaborations.

ENGAGE! is committed to advancing the field of community engaged research (CER) and community based participatory research (CBPR) in urban settings, nationally and internationally. The journal addresses current issues, and challenges, facing urban communities. ENGAGE! invites discussion and development of empirical, conceptual, and theoretical articles that make substantial contributions to the field in all areas of community engaged research, evaluation and assessment. The journal provides a forum for community scholars and university scholarly exchange of research findings ideas that advance knowledges that make a societal impact.

IARSLCE connects scholars around the world to advance knowledge on service-learning and community engagement.

The International Journal for Service Learning in Engineering, Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship is a peer-reviewed electronic journal offered free, semi-annually, over the World Wide Web. The Journal welcomes manuscripts based on original work with a specific focus or implication for service learning in engineering, humanitarian engineering, and social entrepreneurship, or related service learning pedagogy.

The Journal of Community Engagement and Higher Education is an on-line, refereed journal concerned with exploring community engagement and community-based learning perspective, research, and practice.

The Journal of Community Engagement and Scholarship (JCES) is a peer-reviewed international journal through which faculty, staff, students, and community partners disseminate scholarly works. JCES integrates teaching, research, and community engagement in all disciplines, addressing critical problems identified through a community-participatory process.

The mission of the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement is to serve as the premier peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal to advance theory and practice related to all forms of outreach and engagement between higher education institutions and communities.

MJCSL is an open-access journal focusing on research, theory, pedagogy, and other matters related to academic service-learning, campus-community partnerships, and engaged/public scholarship in higher education. This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

Public is a peer-reviewed, multimedia e-journal focused on humanities, arts, and design in public life. It aspires to connect what we can imagine with what we can do. We are interested in projects, pedagogies, resources, and ideas that reflect rich engagements among diverse participants, organizations, disciplines, and sectors.

This resource list was developed as part of the Emerging Scholars in K–12 Service-Learning Research Seminar, held at the University of Maryland on June 14-16, 2007 and hosted by The Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning & Engagement (CIRCLE), University of Maryland; the Center for Youth and Communities, Brandeis University; and the International Center for Research on Civic Engagement and Service-Learning (ICR-CESL), University of California-Berkeley. The Emerging Scholars in K-12 Service-Learning Research Seminar was sponsored by the Service-Learning Leaders Circle/National Service-Learning Partnership through funds generously provided by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. This resource list initially included suggestions from the 15 prominent researchers and 10 emerging scholars participating in the Seminar.

JoSE is an online, peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to research into, and to the practice of, all forms of applied learning as they relate to students’ career- and citizenship-readiness. Housed at SUNY Cortland but committed to developing SUNY-wide partnerships, JoSE accepts submissions from faculty, professional staff, and students at every level.
