Buffalo State Digital Commons OER Repository

The Buffalo State Digital Commons is host to many collections of locally derived works, theses, dissertations, and other research. In Spring 2021, E. H. Butler Library created a repository specifically for OER created by Buffalo State Faculty. While the standards of OER are slightly different for the Digital Commons collection than SUNY's definition, we respect faculty's freedom of choice and intellectual property. Our standards to share your OER on this site are as follows:

  • All content must be licensed at CC BY-NC-ND or less (Most OER repositories ask for CC BY-NC-SA or less).
  • All content must be without copyright restrictions from publishers and vendors, this includes library subscription material.
  • All content must be downloadable with permission to retain, share, and print in physical formats (even content licensed under CC BY-NC-ND).
Do you have OER content that you would like to share? Please contact Chris Hulsman, Electronic & Educational Resources Librarian to get your OER into the repository.
