Today, the Supreme Court ruled in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization that abortion is no longer protected under the US Constitution.
Abortion is protected as a fundamental right in New York State via the Reproductive Health Act of 2019. Additional legislation was signed in 2022 further protecting abortion access in the state.
The NYCLU has developed a resource entitled New York's Post-Roe Abortion Plan that outlines steps that can be taken to continue fighting for abortion rights.

The Brigid Alliance provides logistical support (e.g., travel, food, lodging, childcare) to those who are seeking abortions and are currently 15 weeks pregnant or more.
