The project to preserve the papers in this collection was initiated by Peter Adams. Mr. Adams arranged for the papers to be turned over to Monroe Fordham (Professor of History, Buffalo State College) who organized and prepared the papers for microfilming. The papers were microfilmed as part of the Buffalo State College History Department's local history microfilming project in 1998. The microfilmed papers will be placed in the "Buffalo Afro-American Collection," which is housed at the North Jefferson Branch Library & Center for Local Afro-American History and Research, and also in the Buffalo State College Archives.
