Our doors may be closed but Butler Library and the Academic Commons are here to support you no matter where you are! Below is an outline of the adjustments made to our in-person services:
Archives & Special Collections:
Closed to all visitors and not accepting appointments. Some archive materials are available remotely. Please use the Ask Us service for requests and reference questions.
Apply online for new/replacement cards and we will make arrangements for pick up or mail delivery. Instructions will be provided via email.
Borrowing of all physical materials has been suspended. Fines and fees for items on loan have been waived. Hold on to borrowed materials, or place in a book drop. We will not be processing returns for an indefinite amount of time.
Submit a request for virtual Library Instruction via Blackboard Collaborate.
Reference / Librarian:
Librarians are available to answer questions via chat, email, phone, and text via Ask Us. Chat online with a librarian during our online chat hours or submit research questions online.
Librarians are available to provide individualized assistance to students, faculty, and staff. Request a virtual research appointment.
Meet with your assigned advisor virtually, by phone, or over email. Schedule an appointment using the Bengal Success Portal. Drop-in advising will be available soon via an online chat service. For updates and more information, visit Advising
EOP Academic Center for Excellence:
Online tutoring is available through Blackboard Collaborate (Video/Audio), to accomodate our students. Academic Mentors (Tutors) will be reaching out soon to get started. For more information, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Virtual tutoring appointments remain available for a the following courses: MAT114, MAT124, MAT126, and MAT161. You may sign up for appointments through the Bengal Success Portal. Click on the Math Center tile under "Services."
Student Accessibility Services:
To adjust your current accommodations to appropriately support you in the online learning environment, please contact Student Accessibility Services directly at email@example.com or (716) 878-4500.
Make an appointment for online tutoring through your Bengal Success Portal, and your tutor will send you a link to your session. Make appointments at least 12 hours before your tutor's shift begins. Questions/concerns? email your tutor for directions.
Real-time online tutoring and email feedback from a tutor is available for the duration of the semester.
