COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) Updates & Information: Services

Services: Library and Academic Commons

Library Services
  • Archives & Special Collections:
Archival support services will be provided online to the maximum extent possible and some archival materials are available remotely. In-person access to the Archives Archives & Special Collections is closed to all visitors and we're not accepting appointments at this time. Please use the Ask Us service for requests and reference questions. More info here.
  • Bengal ID Card and Bus Passes (NFTA CRAM Pass):
Apply online for new/replacement cards and we will make arrangements for pick up or mail delivery. Instructions will be provided via email.
  • Equipment Loan (Laptops)

Students: submit equipment requests to Ken Fujiuchi.

Faculty & Staff: submit a Hardware Request ticket and select Coronavirus/COVID-19. Faculty and staff in need of laptops for telecommuting and remote work should also contact their respective departments.

To ensure the safety and well-being of our community, laptops returns are quarantined for three days before returning to inventory and sanitized (including accessories, cables, and bags).

  • Library Instruction:
Please contact a librarian using our Ask Us service (phone, email, chat, and request form options available) to discuss your library instruction needs. Library instruction will primarily be provided online during the fall semester.
  • Reference / Librarian:
Librarians are available to answer questions via chat, email, phone, and text via Ask Us. Chat online with a librarian during our online chat hours or submit research questions online.
  • Research Appointment:
Librarians are available to provide individualized assistance to students, faculty, and staff. Request a virtual research appointment.
