How to Earn a Butler Library Research Assistance Module Badge
Successful completion of each of these modules will earn you a badge. Badges are connected to your Brightspace profile. In order for your professor to see the badges you've earned, you will have to share your badge publicly on your profile. The process is simple and can be completed with a couple of clicks.
First lets talk about how to earn the badge for module:
- For each module, you will need to visit and review each of the sections in order to get to the quiz. You may visit each section as many times as you like before taking the quiz.
- Be sure to watch all of the tutorial videos! The quiz content is based off the videos and short reading sections!
- The video content can be visited as many times as you like, and the same videos will be posted in this guide for ease of access.
- You must all short quizzes at a 60% or above to earn the badge. You can retake quizzes as many times as you need. Please pay attention to the feedback after the quiz, it is there to help you understand the material better!
- Be advised that badges will expire after 18 months, however, you are welcome to revisit them to earn the badge again.
How to Share You Earned Badges to Your Profile
Once you earn a badge, you will need to share it so it is viewable in your profile. This is an easy way to share your accomplishments with your professor. You may also print or save an image of your badge to submit to your professor. Please follow any directions given by your professor to submit a badge if one is assigned.
Directions to Share Your Badge to Your Profile:

You must first earn your badge by successfully completing the modules.

After earning a badge, go to your Brightspace profile.

Click on View My Awards:

Click the "Share" option underneath each of the badges you want to share:

Click on the option "Share to Profile"

You are done! Now your award is viewable in your profile for your professor to see!
